Encore Quality Control Lead (Lighting) - Dallas Warehouse Operations, Coppell, TX in Coppell, Texas

Position Overview

The Quality Control (QC) Lead will oversee Quality Control of all equipment within a specific area of focus. (Audio/Video/Lighting). Establishing and documenting standard Quality Control processes for each item and will be responsible for training all Warehouse Technicians in the Quality Control area. Additional responsibilities include maintaining spare parts inventory and providing overall assistance to internal and external team members. The Quality Control Lead will report to one of the following: Warehouse Operations Regional Director, Warehouse Operations Director, or Warehouse Operations Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities

Manage Weekly Quality Control Strategy

• Review and Prioritize Quality Control needs daily with Receiving and Pick Teams and partnership with the Supervisor and Manager of Warehouse Operations.

• Assign tasks to Quality Control assigned Warehouse technicians for completion each day/week.

• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with all Quality Control standards.

Training

• Create standardized Quality Control processes for each item.

• Provide training and guidance for Warehouse technicians on proper Quality Control standards.

Equipment Quality Control /Maintenance

• Perform technical & cosmetic Quality Control/maintenance on Encore equipment and road cases. Includes show related items and facility related items.

• Maintain Firmware updates.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.

• Maintain positive relationships with Encore teams through effective communication and excellent service.

• Provide Quality Control status updates to Warehouse stakeholders.

Equipment Handling and Tracking

• Sort, scan, and perform Quality Control on incoming equipment.

• Re-shelf equipment after gear is sorted and Quality Control process completed.

• Assist with Inventory accuracy updates of non-barcoded items.

• Perform annual physical inventory of equipment.

• Keep work area orderly.

Systems Knowledge

• Understands company processes and follows procedures.

• Utilize Navigator software to manage inventory accuracy.

Job Qualifications

• 3-5 years of event technology experience with a specialty in Audio, Video or Lighting is required.

o 60 Day Training Requirement-Technical 1-Star, Professional 200 and (1) Technical Level 300 in A/P/V/L.

• New Encore Team Members must pass the Technical Specialist assessment in designated discipline (Audio, Video or Lighting)

• Internal Team Members must validate/complete all Training requirements within 60 days of hire.

• New Encore team members must validate/complete all Training requirements within 60 days of hire.

• Ability to comprehensively train on Quality Control processes.

• Self-motivated, resourceful individual with the ability to work well independently and in groups

• Good mechanical skills

• Basic computer/Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills

• Ability to take direction & communicate with managers and subordinates

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force, customer base and senior level management

• Strong customer, client and coworker interface experience and abilities.

• Strong Organizational skills

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

Warehouse

Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
