Encore IT Product Analyst in Schiller Park, Illinois

Position Overview

The IT Product Analyst is responsible for defining and managing the development of custom-built applications to service the business. The IT Product Analyst oversees product guidance through collaboratively working with leadership and IT internal teams to capture and build solutions which meet the needs of Encore’s application users. This position will work closely with IT Project Managers, Project Stakeholders, Business Analysts, and Developers to define and execute projects that will align with the company vision and goals and improve Encore’s internally developed applications. This role reports to the Sr Mgr, Product Development.

Key Job Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Planning

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the capabilities of the services offered on custom developed platforms.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in the Agile methodology and create workflows and tools used to implement the product roadmap across the software development lifecycle.

• Work with the Product Manager to maintain and track product roadmaps to forecast future changes to IT systems and capabilities.

• Oversee the backlog of improvements and defects, defining the requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Work with IT leadership and staff to determine business functional and technical systems requirements for specified Projects.

• Understand interconnectivity and relationships between system architecture and information architecture.

• Facilitate release management and coordinate communications around product enhancements and releases.

• Determine and define project scope and objectives.

• Work with Development Managers to predict resources needed to reach objectives.

• Work with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans and provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

• Work with Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of product capabilities to market.

• Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements and track project progress against them.

• Act as the SME during initial roll-out and provide support when needed.

Organizational Communications

• Communicate the product vision, goals, and objectives to the organization clearly and frequently.

• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

• Build commitment for continuous process and systems improvement with business users and the IT team.

• Solicit input from business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Utilize influence and communication skills to ensure the successful improvement efforts.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• 5+ years or more in product Analystship on software projects

• 3+ years or more of project management experience on information technology software projects

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Konbon, and Waterfall project methodologies

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev/Ops, Jira, or similar Agile toolsets

• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in an IT environment

• Excellent working knowledge of field operations and solid business acumen

• Ability to assess risk and identify key stakeholders necessary to remove barriers

• Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work on multiple projects

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and collaborate with a variety of individuals to achieve business results

• Must work well in a team environment yet be able to work independently as needed

Work Environment

Office

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
